As if Spring itself wasn't exciting enough...

AmandaBeth Online is 1 year old! ;)

Well, here I am, one year later after launching the blog, and thinking it's one of the best things I've ever done. It's been so fun and amazing to see the growth and changes that the blog has gone through over the last year. God has been so good to me. I have been blessed to be able to share my favorite things about fashion with all of you - and I have learned quite a bit myself! I have grown as a writer, become more creative and html savvy (although I have a LONG way to go - just bought a big book on the subject! ;), picked up a fashion blogging "partner in crime" (Tai Sophia) and met some wonderful new friends via the Internet. Thanks so much to everyone who has stuck with me - let's hope that the best is yet to come! ;)

I am on an ever continuing journey to find interesting, relevant content. I am looking to have some guest bloggers share their fashion tips and experiences - so if you have written an article that you believe fits the vision and tone of AmandaBeth Online, please contact me at amandabethboutique[at]gmail.com . I am looking for original, helpful material and the chance to feature budding writers. Christian fashionistas (who don't compromise their standards or their style) are all too few, but I believe that if we stand by our convictions and stick together, we may just be able to take over the fashion world by the year 2075. Now, for the big news...

AmandaBeth Fashion Week starts on June 21st!!!

I am excited to announce that I will be hosting my first "official" fashion week, beginning on the first day of summer! This is sort of like an online fashion show - in which you can "model" - running all week long! Hopefully, there will be some giveaways and other fun, fashiony material (more details to come)... 

How can I participate in Fashion Week?

Dress up for fashion week each day (June 21-27) - taking care to be super stylish and yet modest.
Take pictures of your outfit (or outfits!). Other family members may be included.
Upload the photos onto your blog (listing brand names and where you got your pieces is also helpful). Make sure you include one of the banners (see below) in your post, with a link back to amandabethonline.blogspot.com
Send the web address of your post to me at amandabethboutique[at]gmail.com
Everyone who participates in the fashion week will automatically be entered in any giveaways!

Why are we doing this?

The purpose of the fashion show is a chance for us to get a nice fashion "pick me up" and put a bit more thought into what we wear every day. I know I can sometimes get stuck in a jeans & Tee rut - how about you? Outfits should be feminine and classy, but also up to date (I love trendy ensembles!). And, of course, we want the clothing to be modest. I know that everyone has different standards of modesty and so I am hesitant to lay down any rules... but for myself, skirts/pants are kept below the knee; tops have 1" or wider straps and are not low in the back or front. If I feel that any outfits or pictures are immodest or suggestive, I will not link them during fashion week.

I will be posting my own ensemble each day of the week and will include links to everyone who participates and sends me their URL (you will need to send a link for each day of the week in which you participate).

How can I get involved?

If anyone is interested in contributing a fashion article or donating an item for a giveaway, contact me at amandabethboutique[at]gmail.com . Please spread the word by saving one of the banners (see below!) to your computer and uploading it to your blog.
